Leeds – Crystal Palace : Elland Road ready for a noisy night
Leeds United host Crystal Palace on Saturday night, eager to stretch an encouraging run. Unbeaten in three, the Whites want to cement their uptick in front of their fans. Palace, meanwhile, need a reaction after a frustrating weekend.
Leeds have found momentum
Since Daniel Farke switched to a 3-5-2, Leeds look a lot sharper. Last week’s draw at Brentford proved it. Down early, they responded — and Dominic Calvert-Lewin led the revival.
The striker has scored in four straight league games, a sign the attack is finally clicking. After a quiet start, Leeds have now scored as many goals in their last five matches as they did in the first eleven. Big improvement. Better finishing in the danger areas has helped.
Home games at Elland Road rarely stay tight. The last six league visits have all seen both sides score. Plenty of chances, plenty of goals. Leeds attack more. They leave gaps too.
Crystal Palace: talent, but regrets
Palace were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City. Deceptive scoreline. The Eagles created chances, flirted with two expected goals, but couldn’t finish. Their wastefulness was punished by City’s ruthless edge.
Still, Palace’s season is solid. Oliver Glasner’s side are in touch with the top four and juggling domestic and European fixtures. The 2-2 draw in the Conference League midweek — with a rotated squad — helped protect key players.
The trip to Leeds is tricky. Palace remember the 5-1 win here in 2022-23, but they’ve never strung together back-to-back top-flight wins over the Whites.
Thinned squads
Leeds will be without Lukas Nmecha, who’s ruled out, plus Daniel James and Sean Longstaff. Farke is likely to stick with a XI close to the one he picked at Brentford, with Calvert-Lewin leading the line.
Palace also arrive with notable absences — long-term injuries and a few players off to the Africa Cup of Nations. Still, Glasner has an experienced core to steady the youngsters and keep things balanced.
Probable lineups
Leeds United :
Perri; Struijk, Rodon, Bijol; Bogle, Stach, Tanaka, Ampadu, Gudmundsson; Okafor, Calvert-Lewin
Crystal Palace :
Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Clyne, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Nketiah, Pino; Mateta

Football prediction: Leeds vs Crystal Palace
Both teams to score
Leeds look back on the front foot. Palace have enough quality to create chances, even away. With two sides that can break quickly, expect an open game and goals at both ends. It’s that simple: lively match, goals each way.
First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. It’s our take at the moment, not a promise. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal — and the script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even “obvious” outcomes fail. Yes, you can lose. And yes, you’ll probably lose at some point.
- Be sensible. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live. Don’t chase losses — that never ends well.
- Betting should be entertainment, not a job or income source. If it starts to take over, if it stresses you, take a break. Seek help if you need it. That’s what support services are for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and it won’t disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must obey your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family strain, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us

Info that moves
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. Between that moment and kick-off a lineup can change, a player can pick up an injury, the weather can turn — and the analysis can become outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.
