Indiana Pacers – Toronto Raptors : an uneven showdown
The Pacers host the Raptors in a game that looks closer than it actually is. Indiana can still spring surprises — their recent win over Boston proved that — but the momentum is fragile. The Raptors, even shorthanded, look more together as a unit.
Indiana Pacers : why not four wins in a row?
The Pacers eked out a scrappy win over Boston (98-96) thanks to a Pascal Siakam game-winner, after a much cleaner victory against Miami (123-99). Those results add to the win over the Hornets (114-112), again sealed by a last-second Siakam shot, giving them their longest streak of the season. In those games Indiana played more controlled basketball, prioritising limiting mistakes in their half.
That approach, though, has limits over a stretch. The team still lacks consistency in one-on-ones and too often leans on favourable circumstances — especially when opponents are missing key players. Against Toronto the script changes, notably trying to stop Brandon Ingram, a type who regularly gives Indiana fits. The Pacers will get a boost from the crowd — seven of their nine wins in 2025-26 came at home — but Carlisle will be without Obi Toppin, Bennedict Mathurin and Isaiah Jackson.
Toronto Raptors : getting back on track despite absences
The Raptors’ season has been uneven, partly by design — they play at a deliberately slower pace. That’s trimmed their scoring to 114.5 points per game, but it hasn’t wrecked efficiency: they’re shooting 47.6% as a team.
Without Barrett and Poeltl, Toronto leans harder on Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram to keep the offence balanced. The loss to Philadelphia (102-115) stung, but it should sharpen them for this trip. Their strongest trait remains ball movement. Near 30 assists a night puts them among the league’s best in that department. Defensively they’re solid on the perimeter too, holding teams to just over 34% from three.

NBA pick Indiana Pacers vs Toronto Raptors
Raptors to win
If the Pacers are in their best form of the season, the Raptors — even depleted — are a different calibre this year. Better offense, steadier defence. Everything points to Toronto taking this one. The Pacers will have home crowd energy, but the odds of them producing a fourth strong performance in a row look slim given their season history.

First, a word about our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We give an opinion, a snapshot of the moment, never a guarantee. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak score… and the whole script changes.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no bet without risk. Even when something looks “obvious”, it isn’t. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Play sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or stressed, stop and get help. Talk to a specialised organisation if you need to. That’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis.
- Essential reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (financial losses, family tensions, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us
Our picks aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain terms: you can’t rely on them to make any claim if a bet doesn’t pay out.
Info that changes
A pick is based on what we know when we write. But a lineup can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis becomes outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.
Your role
