Golden State Warriors – San Antonio Spurs: a mismatch on paper
Third meeting of the season between the Warriors and the Spurs and, on paper, it’s a one-sided affair. Golden State arrive battered — their injury list reads like bad news, with names like Stephen Curry and Kristaps Porzingis missing. San Antonio, even on a back-to-back, are rolling and start as heavy favorites.
Golden State Warriors: pull off an upset at home
This season’s been messy since that awful injury to Jimmy Butler III. In their last five games Steve Kerr’s men have won twice and lost three. Without Stephen Curry for four games, the Warriors still nicked wins over the Suns (101-97) and the Grizzlies (114-113), thanks to late plays from role players like Gui Santos and Pat Spencer.
But the Spurs are a different animal to Phoenix or Memphis. Golden State will need an exceptional team performance to have a chance against the Texas side. Backed by their crowd — they’ve won 18 of 27 at home this season — the Warriors have shown they can upset the odds. The question is whether they have enough left to upset San Antonio.

San Antonio Spurs: turn up the heat on Oklahoma City
The Spurs could not be in better form — they have the longest active winning streak in the league. Five straight wins has nudged them toward 40 wins and left them just 3.5 games adrift of the Thunder at the top of the West. It’s also given them breathing room on the Rockets and the Nuggets, both 3.5 games back. A proper shot in the arm for San Antonio.
Their run has come against softer, patched-up opposition — the Thunder shorn of half their rotation (116-106), the Lakers missing key players (136-108) — but you still have to finish those games, and Victor Wembanyama put up 40 in 26 minutes against LA. A bit of luck, sure, but they’ve done the job. The Warriors will offer a tougher test; Spurs mustn’t get complacent or they’ll get bitten by a scrappy team.
INJURY REPORT : Stephon Castle (questionable) – Lindy Waters III (questionable)
NBA Prediction Golden State Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs
Spurs to win by 7+ points
San Antonio want to take the longest active win streak into the All-Star break, and the easiest way to do that against the Warriors is to make this a quick night — like they did in LA last night. The gap in quality is too wide given Golden State’s absences. Expect San Antonio to handle this comfortably.

First, a word on our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We share an opinion, a snapshot of the moment, not a promise. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak score — everything can change instantly.
- Let’s be blunt: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, you can lose. It happens.
- Play smart. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. Don’t chase losses — that almost never ends well.
- Betting should be a hobby, not a job or a way to make a living. If it’s taking over, stressing you out or causing trouble, take a break and get help from a specialist if needed.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and always will, no matter how good the analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must follow the laws where you live. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
