Golden State Warriors vs Dallas Mavericks – Free NBA Prediction and Picks – January 22, 2026

Golden State Warriors – Dallas Mavericks: Splash Bros reunited

The Warriors host the Mavericks at the Chase Center — Steph Curry will link up with Klay Thompson for the second time this season. The clubs have different priorities: Dallas is fighting to stay in Play-In contention, while Golden State is scrambling to adapt after Jimmy Butler’s injury.

Golden State Warriors: back on track

Results have been solid for the Warriors. Four wins in five, including convincing victories over the Heat (135-112) and the Knicks (126-113). Then Jimmy Butler III went down — out for the season — and everything slipped, capped by a heavy 127-145 loss to a Raptors side that normally isn’t that explosive. The gap left by the forward showed up immediately.

Against Dallas, the Warriors need to go back to basics: a stingy defence (114.0 points allowed on average, 10th best in the league) and an offence built on movement and off-ball work (116.9 points per game, 13th). Jonathan Kuminga showed he can add real minutes (20 points in 21 minutes vs. the Raptors). Maybe he’s a short-term answer to the hole Jimmy Buckets left.

INJURY REPORT : Gary Payton II (questionable) – Seth Curry (OUT) – Jimmy Butler III (OUT)

Dallas Mavericks: why not a fourth straight?

The Mavs are rolling. Three wins in a row. High-scoring outings and solid defence. Jason Kidd’s group gave the Jazz a taste at their own medicine twice (144-122 and 138-120) and then put the Knicks to the sword at Madison Square Garden (114-97). Back home at the American Airlines Center (13-11 this season), Dallas will aim to stretch the run against the Warriors.

With Anthony Davis absent, Cooper Flagg has been shoved into the lead role. The rookie is supported well — role players know their jobs and step up when needed, like Max Christie (26 points vs the Knicks). Veterans such as Naji Marshall and P.J. Washington also deliver when their minutes grow.

INJURY REPORT : Ryan Nembhard (probable) – Moussa Cissé (questionable) – Daniel Gafford (questionable) – Anthony Davis (OUT) – Dante Exum (OUT) – Dereck Lively II (OUT) – Kyrie Irving (OUT)

NBA Prediction Golden State Warriors vs Dallas Mavericks

Over 230.5 points

The Mavericks are buzzing and the Warriors look a step behind defensively after losing Jimmy Butler. Both teams can score, and their first meeting ended 126-116. With key absences on both sides, expect another open, high-scoring game.

First up, a word on our picks

  • What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. It’s our take in the moment, not a promise. Sport is wildly unpredictable. A red card, a sudden injury, a freak goal — and the whole script flips.
  • Let’s be blunt: there is no bet without risk. Even when something looks “obvious”, it isn’t. Yes, you can lose. You will, at some point.
  • Be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch the money you need to live. And don’t chase losses — that ends badly more often than not.
  • Betting should stay a hobby, not a job or a revenue stream. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or angry, step away. If it gets serious, talk to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re for.
  • At the end of the day, you’re responsible. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and it won’t vanish, even with the best analysis.
  • Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must follow your local laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family strain, addiction). Need help? Player Info Service: 09 74 75 13 13 (non-premium call) https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No promises from us

Our predictions aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain terms: you can’t use them to claim anything if a bet loses.

Information can change

A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. Between then and tip-off, a lineup can change, a player can get hurt, the weather can shift — and the analysis can become out of date. We can’t be held liable for that.
