Fulham – Manchester City : a tricky test at Craven Cottage
Fulham return to their ground with a bit more confidence after that win at Tottenham, while Manchester City are still hunting consistency, especially away from home. On paper the gap between the squads is big, but the Londoners are awkward to break down at Craven Cottage.
Fulham : solid at home, patchy elsewhere
Fulham’s been hit-or-miss this season, but the 2-1 win at Spurs did them a lot of good. They look more confident going forward, with better-built moves and a unit that’s more involved in winning the ball back.
At Craven Cottage the Whites are hard to shift: four wins, one draw and just one home defeat. Fifteen scored and seventeen conceded sums them up — a side that creates chances but can get fragile when games lull. Even so, confidence is up, buoyed by four wins in their last five across all competitions.
Manchester City : still short of their best
City sit second, but this start hasn’t been as smooth as usual. Absences, rotation and defensive slips mean they’re moving forward without breaking away. Four defeats in thirteen matches shows they don’t dominate like in previous seasons.
The attack is doing its job — 27 goals — but away form is sluggish: only two wins in six trips. That 2-1 reverse at Newcastle underlined the issue. Still, individual quality often decides games, like the 3-2 win over Leeds sealed by a late Phil Foden goal.
City have won three of their last five, so the machine might be warming up again. And the trend against Fulham is stark: five straight wins, including a 2-0 here last time.
Football Tip Fulham vs Manchester City
Manchester City to win
Fulham can cause problems, but City have the stronger squad and the history on their side. Even not at 100%, the Citizens have the tools to leave London with the three points.

First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We share an opinion, a snapshot read, never a guarantee. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing truly is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Best advice: be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over, making you angry or stressed, take a break. If needed, talk to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re for.
- Ultimately, you’re responsible. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

Info that can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. But a line-up can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis can be out of date in an instant. We can’t be held responsible for that.
