Atlanta travel in transition. Trae Young’s exit and new pieces being shoehorned in have thrown their offensive balance off. McCollum being out for this game removes another creator and makes the attack predictable at times.
Some individual talents shine, but team consistency is the big issue. The Hawks struggle to string stops together and give up too many points, which messes up late-game control, especially away from home.
Against an unpredictable Denver in this new setup, Atlanta might struggle to pick defensive priorities. That lack of bearings, added to a generally leaky defence, leaves the visitors exposed to ugly stretches.
