Cremonese – Genoa: survival scrap
Big game this Sunday at the Stadio Zini. Level on points, Cremonese and Genoa are fighting for their lives. The Lombards are slipping fast; Genoa need a response after two gutting defeats. The tension will be sky-high.
Cremonese: winless spiral, urgent fixes needed
Ten matches without a win. That says it all. Since their last victory Davide Nicola’s side have taken just three points — the poorest return in Serie A over that stretch.
Worse still, the attack has gone cold. Three goals in ten games and eight matches without scoring. Until Morten Thorsby’s late consolation against Atalanta, Cremonese had gone four straight outings without a single goal.
The start of the season promised more, with a lively Bonazzoli–Vardy partnership. Now confidence has vanished and the Stadio Zini isn’t a safe haven: one win in their last ten home fixtures, and over 240 minutes without scoring at home recently.
Nicola, a survival specialist, knows the clock is ticking. With Milan and Roma coming up, he has to get this team moving now.
Genoa: frustrated but dangerous
The Rossoblù arrive with a mix of frustration and hope. Their last three matches all finished 3-2. After nicking a win against Bologna, they lost in the dying seconds to penalties against Lazio and Napoli.
Since Daniele De Rossi took over in November, the team has picked up 17 points in 14 games. Up front Genoa look more ambitious, outscoring most of the teams around them.
But defensive weakness bites. With 20 points dropped already, this is their worst showing at this stage of a Serie A season in over a decade.
The objective is clear: exploit Cremonese’s attacking problems and come away with a result.
Probable lineups
Cremonese :
Audero ; Terracciano, Baschirotto, Luperto ; Barbieri, Thorsby, Payero, Maleh, Pezzella ; Bonazzoli, Vardy
Genoa :
Bijlow ; Marcandalli, Ostigard, Vasquez ; Norton-Cuffy, Frendrup, Malinovskyi, Ellertsson, Martin ; Vitinha, Colombo
Football Prediction Cremonese vs Genoa
Genoa or draw
The attacking momentum is with Genoa, while Cremonese are struggling to find the net. In a tight, nervy match the visitors’ ability to score could make the difference.
If the home side don’t wake up fast, the relegation zone will start breathing down their necks.
First, a word on our tips
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We share an opinion, a snapshot of the moment, never a guarantee. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and everything changes.
- Let’s be clear: there is no risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay entertainment, not a job or a source of income. If it takes over your life, makes you anxious or stressed, take a break. If needed, speak to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept that risk exists and it won’t disappear, even with the best analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (loss of money, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us
Our predictions do not form a contract. They have no legal standing. In plain terms: you can’t rely on them to claim anything if a bet loses.
Information can change
A tip is based on what we know when we write it. But a lineup (like Genoa’s) can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis becomes outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.
Your role
Before betting, check that gambling is legal where you live. If it’s not, that’s your responsibility, not ours.
Responsible gambling first
We can’t say it enough: gamble responsibly. If you struggle to keep control, seek help. We can’t be held responsible for compulsive or excessive use of the information published on the site.
