There’s managing a tie… and then there’s a full-on demonstration.
Tonight at Stamford Bridge, PSG left no room for argument against Chelsea.
Already 5-2 up from the first leg, the European champions did it again with authority (3-0). A two-legged rout that says one thing loud and clear: this PSG is built to rule for a while yet.

A start that killed the suspense
The brief for PSG was simple: don’t panic, control possession… then strike.
They chose a different plan: end it inside 15 minutes.
As early as the 6th minute, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring. Defensive error, burst of pace, a drilled finish. Cold. Clinical.

Then, a few minutes later, Bradley Barcola smashed a rocket into the top corner from an Achraf Hakimi cross.
0-2 after 14 minutes.

By that point the tie was dead. Chelsea were standing but out on their feet.
Chelsea outclassed in every department
The problem for Chelsea wasn’t just the score.
It was a sense of total impotence.
Up front the Blues tried, particularly Cole Palmer, but they never really troubled a solid, disciplined PSG.
At the back it was worse. Disorganised, slow to react, shaky… the London side suffered against PSG’s pace and precision.
Even in intensity, Paris were a level above.

Like the script was flipped: a hungry PSG against a Chelsea already beaten.
Safonov solid, PSG imperious
You need calm handling when the rare pressure comes. Paris delivered again.
Matvey Safonov was tidy, composed and decisive when required. Not overworked, he played his part perfectly.

More than that, it was collective defending that stood out.
A compact block, rapid recovery, measured aggression: PSG left almost nothing.
A proper Champions League team.
Mayulu seals the statement
The second half was a formality.
PSG controlled, rotated the squad… then put the nail in.
Young Senny Mayulu grabbed his moment with a composed third (62′).

0-3.
The ground emptied. PSG fans sang.
The game finished in an almost unreal atmosphere.
Even the finale said it all: Chelsea end with ten men, beaten to the last whistle.
One blot: Barcola’s injury
Not everything was perfect.
Subbed off with an injury, Bradley Barcola left Stamford Bridge in a medical boot. A concern to watch, even if Luis Enrique tried to play it down.
In a season this demanding, every absence can bite.
PSG answers the critics
After months of doubt and scrutiny, PSG sent a clear message.
Marquinhos put it well: the team has raised its level, physically and as a unit.
And you can see it.
This PSG is more mature, sturdier, more consistent.
Less flashy at times… but far more dangerous.
And now? A proper test awaits
The road gets tougher.
In the quarter-finals, Paris will face the winner of Liverpool and Galatasaray.
Two styles, two tests… but one certainty:
no side will be comfortable about drawing this PSG.
A message to all of Europe
Winning 8-2 over the two legs, PSG did more than qualify.
They hit hard. Very hard.
In a Champions League wider open than ever, Paris look like genuine contenders for the double. Above all, they know exactly when to step on the gas.
What if this season finally proves it?
