San Jose — sinking on the road 
On the California side it’s uglier. The Sharks sit 10th in the West (66 points in 64 games, 192 goals scored, 218 conceded). They’ve been inconsistent all season, but it’s away from home where it all falls apart.
Their last five road games? Five straight losses. Even worse: their last three away matches were defeats by at least two goals each. The latest was a 6-3 drubbing at Buffalo where the defence handed out present after present. They try to push forward, fine — but the defensive holes are massive and kill any hope.
