Atlanta Hawks – Indiana Pacers: expect an offensive shootout
Hawks and Pacers meet for the second of three clashes this season. The teams have different targets this year, but recent form suggests this could be better than the brochure — and it’s at a decent hour for fans in France too.
Atlanta Hawks: can’t afford to lose touch with the Bulls
Things are trending the right way for the Hawks after back-to-back wins. They scraped past the Grizzlies in a shootout (124-122), then handled a tighter game against the Suns (110-103), a hot West side. Quin Snyder’s squad also enjoyed two full days off before lacing up for tonight’s game against Indiana.
Tactically, expect the Hawks to push the pace — that’s where they hurt teams. They score 117.4 points per game (10th in the NBA) and lead the league with 31.0 assists, so they’re at their best when the scoreboard’s ticking. Defensively they’re porous, conceding 118.7 points a night (6th-worst), but the win over Phoenix showed they can tighten up when needed, given the pieces on the roster.

Indiana Pacers: follow up after the upset in OKC
The Pacers still sit in the lower reaches of the East — and they don’t seem fussed — but that didn’t stop them stealing a prestige win in Oklahoma City (117-114) against last season’s Finals opponents. Andrew Nembhard, Pascal Siakam and Jarace Walker led the charge for Indiana’s 11th win.
On the final stop of a five-game road trip at the Hawks, Rick Carlisle’s group remain one of the weaker squads this season, mostly because the offense struggles to click. Their 44.2% field-goal rate puts them at the bottom of the league, which shows up in their scoring: just 110.1 points per game, second-worst. Defensively it’s hardly comforting either — they allow 118.2 points a night, the 8th-worst mark.
INJURY REPORT : Bennedict Mathurin (probable) – Quenton Jackson (probable) – Obi Toppin (OUT)
NBA Pick Atlanta Hawks vs Indiana Pacers
Over 231.5 points
Neither the Hawks nor the Pacers defend well this season, and with Atlanta at home they’ll try to open the game up so guys like Jalen Johnson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker can go to work. Indiana has shown it can stick around even against better teams. With one of the league’s top offenses, Atlanta should help turn this into a high-scoring night.

First — a word on our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We offer an opinion, a snapshot of the moment, not a guarantee. Sport stays unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal — and the script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it isn’t. Yes, you can lose. You will, at some point.
- Best advice: be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. Don’t chase losses — it never ends well.
- Betting should stay a pastime, not a job or a dependable income. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or stressed, step away. If needed, speak to a specialist — that’s what they’re for.
- Ultimately, responsibility sits with you. Reading our content means you accept risk exists and it won’t vanish, even with the best analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is prohibited for minors and must follow your local laws. Gambling can spin out (money loss, family strain, addiction). Need help? Players Info Service: 09 74 75 13 13 (standard-rate call) https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No liability from our side
Our picks aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain terms: you can’t rely on them to make claims if a bet loses.
Info can change
A pick is based on what we know when we write it. Lineups change, players get hurt, conditions shift — and the analysis can become out of date. We can’t be held responsible for that.
