The battering at Atlanta (107-141) summed up the mess. They leave huge gaps around their own basket and invite trouble every trip down the floor.
The bench lads soak up the minutes, padding their numbers and chasing their next contract. The overuse of the three-ball covers up a brutal lack of anything resembling a system. Even so, that chaos should play nicely against the Milwaukee Bucks’ indifference. Brooklyn’s second unit will feast on the generous space and maybe do enough to keep themselves in the shop window.
Milwaukee Bucks: hands off, heads down 
This project has hit an ugly patch. The early exit killed what was left of the Milwaukee Bucks’ hopes. Resting Giannis makes the surrender plain as day. The coaching staff has given up on demanding much at the defensive end. The recent win over Memphis (131-115) papered over a defence that’s been drifting for 48 minutes at a time. Protecting the paint? That’s a memory now.
And yet this Bucks group still has some punch. Kuzma and Turner now carry most of the scoring load. Green attacks the rim with real intent. Rollins runs the show at a frantic clip. Strange mix, but there’s enough raw talent there to blow past the club’s usual scoring mark (112,4 points). The Bucks’ shooters should have a field day against this sort of shrugging opposition.
