Denver Nuggets – New York Knicks: high-flying showdown in Colorado
Ball Arena hosts a big one tonight. Denver welcome New York. On one side, the league’s most potent offense. On the other, a disciplined Knicks unit that makes life hard for opponents. It’s a straight clash of styles. Jokic and his teammates must set the pace — not let the Knicks’ defense turn it into their game. A proper test for two serious playoff contenders.
Denver Nuggets: offense sizzles, defense stumbles
The coaching staff are wrestling with a striking paradox this season. The Nuggets lead the league in scoring — 120.5 points a night — yet the other end is fragile. Aaron Gordon’s absence has left a defensive hole; without him they give up over 116 points per game. That weakness explains a mixed recent run: just five wins from their last ten.
The win over the Lakers (120-113) summed it up. Jamal Murray fired in 28, Jokic produced a monster triple-double. Still, the finish raised red flags. A comfortable lead nearly vanished in minutes — 18 turnovers wrecked the flow. Denver got the W, but it wasn’t a composed 48-minute performance.
New York Knicks: rock-solid foundations
The Knicks keep delivering. The coaching change didn’t break the group’s momentum. New York sit third in the East on very solid foundations. They’re one of the rare teams inside the top 10 on both ends — 116.8 points scored, 110.7 conceded — a balance that lets them travel with confidence.
The loss to Oklahoma City (100-103) felt like a shooting anomaly. Karl-Anthony Towns cleaned up the boards with 17 rebounds. The issue was perimeter accuracy — Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby posted a poor shooting night. Defensively, though, the intensity was there. Holding the Thunder to 103 points proves the Knicks’ system works.

NBA Prediction Denver Nuggets vs New York Knicks
Denver Nuggets to win
Fatigue will matter. The Knicks come off a brutally physical game and a long trip to Colorado. Denver are also playing the second night of a back-to-back. Home court is crucial here. The Nuggets’ offense has the firepower to grind down a tired visiting defense, which should run out of legs late. The spread for the home side looks like solid value for bettors. We’re backing Denver.

First, a word on our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We share an opinion — a snapshot — not a guarantee. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak moment and the whole script can flip.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Best advice: be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should be a pastime, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or putting pressure on you, take a break. If needed, speak to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re for.
- Ultimately, the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t vanish, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money losses, family tensions, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment on our part
Our picks aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t rely on them to make a claim if a bet loses.
Information can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. Between then and tip-off a lineup can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn — and the analysis can become outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.
Your role
