Manchester City – Nottingham Forest: City’s machine is rolling

Life without Haaland? No bother 
No Erling Haaland? No drama. Against Leeds it was newcomer Antoine Semenyo who put his suit on and delivered the winner just before half-time. That victory stretches Manchester City’s incredible run — six wins on the bounce in all competitions. The Etihad has turned back into a fortress (no defeat since November and seven straight wins). And for the stat lovers: Pep loves a Wednesday. In the league he’s won 24 of his 26 home games scheduled that day.
Nottingham teetering on the brink 
The visitors are under heavy pressure. Forest have already used four managers this season and Vitor Pereira hasn’t sparked the expected turnaround. That tidy European raid on Fenerbahçe (3-0) now looks like a mirage — they followed it with three straight defeats. Worst of all, the new boss is yet to win a single Premier League match this year. Add the fact Forest shipped a combined 11 goals on their last three trips to Manchester… and it smells very bad.
